Chase Ability October 6 & 7, 2018
WCOBC’s first ever Chase Ability events and a first for the Okanagan as well! Hosted in the Oliver/Willowbrook area of the South Okanagan, we had lovely weather and a small but mighty group of dogs. All breeds and mixed breed dogs are eligible to compete as long as they are registered with the CKC. Dogs chase the lure around the field for 600 or 300 yards depending on their size and breed type. It is a pass/fail event; dogs will pass if they chase the lure enthusiastically and without interruption for the duration of the course. Big thanks to our judges Pat Ingram and Thomas Robinson, lure operator Richard Wingerak, and the many volunteers who stepped up and helped out where needed. Photo credit: Aaryn Secker.
